INTRODUCTION TO THE MODEL

(Workbook pages 5-12)

The self-coaching thought model is a tool to help you gain awareness of your mindset. Your thoughts create your feelings, which drive your actions, which create your results. 

This is an incredible tool to help you through some of those negative thoughts that come up. Make sure to check your judgment at the door. The thing we don't want to do is shame ourselves for having thoughts. We are human, we have thoughts. 

You don't need to believe your thoughts. You can just let them pass, you don't need to make them mean anything unless you want to. By putting everything into the model, we can clearly see how to get the results we want, and what we need to think to get us there.

PHASE 1: ACTIONABLE AWARENESS

TAKING THE MODEL DEEPER

In this video, you'll learn some misuses and misconceptions in the model. I encourage you to build a model to get feedback on it in the Facebook Group. Some key points include: 

1. Make sure you only put one thought in the model. Each thought will have its own model. 

2. We can sometimes state thoughts as feelings. For example, "I feel like they don't like me." - It is stated as a feeling, but it is a thought. 

3. Our thoughts are not circumstance. "They don't like me" is a thought, not a circumstance. In that case, the circumstance could be as simple as "that person exists."  

This video does not have corresponding workbook pages, it is just to specify how to use the model most effectively.

PROCESSING EMOTION

Processing emotions is an essential skill yet seldom taught.

In this video, you'll learn how to process any emotion, specifically anxiety. It is essential to not resist or run from anxiety when it comes up but to choose to feel it and sit with it. I show you how in this video!

ORGANIZE YOUR MIND

(Workbook pages 15-21)

This is a great way to gain clarity if you are feeling confused or overwhelmed. I would recommend doing a mini version of this daily, what I call a thought download. 

You just put pen to paper, and write anything that is in your brain. If you come across something that is bothering you or that you aren't sure is serving the results you want, do some thought models!

THE INTENTIONAL MODEL

When building an intentional model, some questions to ask yourself are: 

  • How do I want to feel about this circumstance?

  • What thought will get me to that feeling? 

  • What result do I want? 

  • What action will get me there?

  • What feeling will drive that action? 

BELIEFS AND THOUGHT LADDERS

(Workbook pages 24-25)

In this video, you get to hear about the importance of your beliefs, and exactly how to rewire your beliefs to be exactly what you want!
